Graduation Day

I am officially a college grad!! Today I graduated with 106 other classmates at SDCC. It was a really nice ceremony and not too long or boring. :) I walked across the stage without tripping (yay!), shook Dr. Huson's hand (the President of SDCC) and took my diploma, and then continued to walk and shook Dr. DePriest's hand and received a bible. It's a really nice bible and signed by Dr. Huson! Dave Dravecky gave the commencement address. He used to play baseball but lost his left arm to cancer. He was really good and entertaining! After we turned our tassels from the right to the left we walked out and were met by the teachers and faculty and then the families. After many hugs and congratulations we left for a graduation lunch at Mimi's Cafe. Angelina, Rachel, Jess, and Jaime came and we all had a great time!!
It was a wonderful and beautiful (yes, the sun was shining :) day. I'm so glad that my grandparents came from Minnesota it meant so much to me. I got some beautiful gifts, too! A beautiful ring from my Grandpa Maxson, it has a tanzinyte stone in the middle (blueish purple) and 3 little diamonds on either side. The band is silver and very skinny how I like it! It's beautiful! Then I got some gorgeous pearl earrings from my parents with a diamond on each of them. Both of these pieces are antiques.

Now I'm relaxing with my family in their hotel room. Tomorrow we will go to church and then say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa and drive up to Santa Maria. The very last time I have to make this drive!! Whoo hoo!!
