What a day...

An update is in order but man, what a day it has been. Mrs. Elder died this afternoon while I was having b-study with Zoei and Jess. My heart is heavy. I know she is in a much better place but she will be missed and I just think of Mr. Elder and how he is doing. I am so glad she is not in anymore pain and that she is all healed and with Jesus, that is a comforting thought. The girls and I couldn't finish our b-study after we heard the news so we just left and I took them home. They are both so precious and sensitive girls. They are great!

Just now I threw a bunch of old stuff away. Throwing stuff away feels good. It's like a burden has been lifted. Throwing stuff away gives you a freedom because now you have room for new stuff. The past is gone and future is coming! Or the old has gone and the new is coming!

I went to Jessica and Nick's wedding this last weekend and that was a lot of fun. I will post some pics of the big day. Rachel and I had a blast at the wedding and we stayed in the hotel that the wedding was in and that was a lot of fun. Oh except when the toilet overflowed! Yeah, that wasn't too fun but thank the Lord for maintenance guys!! Then Rach and I went to Disneyland on Sunday. I got an upgraded pass!!! That was exciting. We went on a lot of rides, drank some wonderful pineapple juice, and had just a wonderful time being together!! I will post pics of that day, too.

This week I have just been working and doing my normal day to day stuff. Friday night a bunch of people are coming over for Smallville...yay!! Then on Sunday Jon and Morgan are having an Amazing Race party, so excited for that!

I am reading "Let the Nations be Glad" by John Piper and I am absolutely loving it. It is a really good book. I really liked at the beginning where he doesn't even really talk about missions but talks about how worship is the key to cultivating a heart for missions. When you do have that passion for God and His glory then missions should just flow out of you. I really liked that. Speaking of missions I am still really wanting to go to Haiti. I'm just waiting on the mission board... All in God's timing I know. I'm going to go and read now...
