Work, work, work...

I got a job!!! :) I am working at the San Luis Obispo County Historical Society (wow, what a mouthful!). I'm working as the administrative assistant from 9-3pm (sometimes longer) every weekday. I have been totally blown away by how God provides and so quickly, too! This job seriously just landed into my lap by only God. See what happened is the regular administrative assistant had to leave unexpectedly to go to Idaho to be with her mom who was hospitalized. She left without saying when she'd be back or anything. Angelina told me all this on Sat. (the day I arrived home from MN) and she told me to call Ron, the manager, because he might want to temporarily hire me. So I called him Monday and he told me to come in on Tues at 10am. I went in and I started working that very day and have been working there everyday since then! Yesterday I opened and closed the museum all by myself! I've totally been thrown int0 this job and the responsibilities and trying to catch on and understand everything. I have no idea how long this job will last. The girl who worked there could call and say she's coming back or she might not. In any case I'm taking one day at a time and just being thankful for this wonderful blessing that God has bestowed on me! I can't believe that I am actually working at a place that involves my degree and that I love!! God is soooo good! If this is only for a short time the experience gained here will help tremendously in future work.

Now that I am a working woman I have basically no life! I go to bed around 10-10:30pm every night and I get up around 7am. Yesterday I came down with a cold and today I'm not feeling so hot. This work thing is getting to me!! But I am thankful for this job. Dad called me a workaholic last night because today I am working at the storage unit! Tomorrow will really be a day of rest for me.

That is life for me now... I am getting really excited to go to Haiti in three weeks!! Ahhh!! The only thing I'm not excited about is swallowing a huge malaria pill when I get off the plane in Haiti and for those of you who know me you know how much I love to swallow pills!! ;)

I'm just living day-by-day trusting in God and letting Him take me where He wants me to go. It's exciting! :)
